The 18th CPC National Congress reviewed and approved the Report on the Work of the 17th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and gave full consent to its work.
The following is the full text of Resolution of the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China on the Report on the Work of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection adopted at the Seventeenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China on October 21, 2007:
The discipline inspection authorities of the CPC will resolutely strengthen the supervision and investigations on issues of most direct concern to the people.
The CPC is the vanguard of the Chinese working class, the faithful representative of the interests of the Chinese people of all ethnic groups and the core of leadership over the socialist cause of China.
The central leading organ of the Party is the National Party Congress and the Central Committee it elects. The Central Committee is accountable to and reports its work to the National Congress.
First, uphold the Party's basic line; Second, adhere to the principle of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts; Third, persist in serving the people wholeheartedly; and Fourth, uphold democratic centralism
