Wang Jiarui holds working talks with Zambian Vice President
BEIJING - Wang Jiarui, minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, held working talks with Scott on Thursday morning, in which the two sides pledged to further strengthen exchanges.
Wang said the CPC will conduct exchanges with the Patriotic Front in the principles of independence, equality, mutual respect and non-interference of domestic affairs.
Scott echoed Wang, saying the CPC has abundant experience in party building and national governance, and the Patriotic Front wanted to establish a stable relationship with the Party and learn from its experience.
The two sides also exchanged views on further cooperating in policy research, youth and women exchanges.
Scott also reiterated Zambia's adherence to the one-China policy.
Scott and his delegation were invited by the CPC.
