Guizhou: Li Zhanshu

Li Zhanshu, Han ethnic group, a native from Pingdingshan of Hebei Province, was born in August 1950 and joined the Communist Party of China in April 1975. He started to wok in December 1972 and graduated from the evening school of Hebei Normal University.

1983-1985: Acting Secretary and Secretary the CPC Wuji County Committee of Hebei

1985-1986: Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shijiazhuang Prefectural Committee of Hebei

1986-1990: Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China

1990-1993: Member of Standing Committee of the CPC Chengde Prefectural Committee of Hebei and Commissioner of Chengde Administrative Office

1993-1997: Member of Standing Committee and Secretary-General of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee

1997-1998: Member of Standing Committee of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee and vice head of the Hebei Rural Work Leading Group

1998-2000: Member of Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and vice head of the Shanxi Rural Work Leading Group

2000-Jan. 2002: Member of Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and Director of the Shanxi Organization Department

Jan.-Apr. 2002: Member of Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Xi’an Municipal Committee

Apr.-May 2002: Member of Standing Committee of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, Secretary of the CPC Xi’an Municipal Committee, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Xi’an Municipal People's Congress

May 2002-2003: Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee, Secretary of the CPC Xi’an Municipal Committee, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Xi’an Municipal People's Congress

He was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
