Liaoning: Wang Min
Wang Min, a native of Huainan City, Anhui Province, was born in March 1950. He joined the CPC in July 1985. He took his doctor's degree at Nanjing Aeronautics and Astronautics University and he has worked as a farmer, worker, college teacher and deputy president of Nanjing Aeronautics and Astronautics University.
From 1994 to 2004, he held a series of posts in the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.
In October of 2004 he was made Vice Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and on October 30, 2004 the 14th session of the 10th Jilin Provincial People's Congress passed a resolution, appointing Wang Min as deputy governor and acting governor.
On January 29, 2005, he was elected as governor of Jilin by the third plenary session of the 10th Jilin Provincial People's Congress held and in December 2006, he was promoted to be secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee.
On December 8, 2006, the 31st plenary session of the 10th Jilin Provincial People's Congress accepted Wang Min’s resignation as the governor of Jilin Province. ANY REASON WE CAN MENTION?
On May 18, 2007 he was elected as Secretary of Jilin Province and on January 13, 2008 he was made as Director of Standing Committee of Jilin Provincial People's Congress.
In November of 2009, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) announced he was appointed Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the CPC.
On October 13th, 2011, Wang Min was elected secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee again.
He is a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
