Shandong: Jiang Yikang
Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Shandong Provincial Committee
Jiang Yikang, ethnic Han and native of Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province, was born in January 1953. He received a Master’s degree from Central South University, formerly known as Central South Industry University and joined the CPC in December 1970. He had served in the army and worked in a factory before being employed by the government.
Mar. 1988: Deputy Director of the Secretary Bureau of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; Executive Deputy Director and Director of the Affairs Management Bureau for Offices affiliated directly to the CPC Central Committee
Jul. 1995: Deputy Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee
Oct. 2002 to May 2006: Vice Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee; President of the Party School of CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee
Jun. 2006: Vice President of the China National School of Administration, and Secretary of the school’s CPC Committee
Mar. 2008: Secretary, Member, and Standing Member of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee
He was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee and is currently a serving member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
